Terms of Service

Last updated June 12, 2026

Use Pyrus to write. Your work is yours, and Pyrus is provided as is.

Acceptance

By downloading or using Pyrus, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Your content is yours

You keep all rights to the novels, notes, characters, and other content you create in Pyrus. The developer of Pyrus claims no ownership of your writing and has no access to it. Your work is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account. Keeping a backup of anything important is your responsibility.

Acceptable use

Use Pyrus lawfully. Do not use it to create or store content that is illegal, or to attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the app or the services it relies on.

AI features

Pyrus offers optional AI help. By default this runs on your device using Apple Intelligence. You may instead supply your own API key for a third-party cloud provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini), in which case your use of that model is also subject to that provider's terms, and you are responsible for any costs and usage on your account. AI suggestions are aids, not facts; review anything before relying on it. Pyrus never writes or changes your work without your action.

App Store

Pyrus is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple's terms.

No warranty

Pyrus is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will fit a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer of Pyrus is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its date.
